In just a few days, the spring season will officially arrive and you know what that means - it's time to start putting away those warm winter clothes to break out your new fun and vivacious spring fashions. The spring 2005 fashion season is sure to bring a variety of hip and trendy clothes that are sure to warm your little heart.
Skirts are really making a splash this season but have reverted to a different style. We won't see that traditional jean or pleated skirt this season girls. This year, designers have introduced a style of skirt known as the "big skirt."
These skirts generally run to the knee or below and have a very voluminous bottom. They come in a variety of different styles and designs including layered, bustled or pleated. Though these skirts are great for the figure, they are mainly a hit this season simply because it's something that is not in most women's wardrobes yet.
Though there are several hot colors this spring like kiwi, turquoise and coral, paisley prints have made a big impression on spring fashion this year. If you are not aware what paisley is, think of a type of floral pattern, but with a much more unique and intricate design.
These prints are most popularly found on dresses and skirts, but can be easily over done seeing that they are such a complicated design. Wearing paisley is a definite must this season; it just needs to be done at a minimum. If you want to make a splash with color, bright is the true way to go, though white also seems to be making a big comeback as a hot color. But don't be afraid to make a statement with those bold and bright colors.
Though accessories have always been a prime factor in an outfit, this year is not just about the shoes and the purse. Jewelry has become a must have of the season. No, I am not talking about your diamond ring or gold pendant necklace. This year, the funkier, the better.
Chunky necklaces, bracelets and rings with bright and unique designs made of marble, rocks, beads, you name it, have become an important fashion this season. Referred to as "ethnic jewelry," these trends derived from great designers who really worked to include a lot of ethnic styles this year.
