The event was a benefit concert to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western Pennsylvania.
About 80 students showed up for the cause and to support the four performances, including Zone Gotti, Remora Deign, Andrea Follmar and the Keister Street Band and Wine & Spirit.
All performers have members who attend or have attended SRU.
Admission was $5 and there were 10 different raffle prizes.
The prizes were donated by local businesses, including Coffaro's Pizza and Tattoo U.
There was also a bake sale, and Rocky's donated pizza that was sold at the event.
One hundred percent of the proceeds went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western Pennsylvania.
Jami LoAlbo, general manager of WSRU 88.1 FM and senior communication major, said that the radio station hosts a benefit concert every fall, but the causes change each year.
She said that last year, it raised over $1,000 for Dr. Simon Beeching, an SRU professor who lost his home to a fire.
LoAlbo said the radio station chose Make-A-Wish this year because it's an organization most people are familiar with, and it won the vote among radio station members.
She said that $3,500 is the minimum amount necessary to grant just one child his or her wish, but every penny counts and Rock-A-Wish made $584 for the cause.
The first performer, a rapper who goes under the alias of "Zone Gotti," started the night by encouraging everyone to stand below the stage.
Gotti is a 2007 SRU history major graduate.
He said that he's always glad to support his alma mater because of his wonderful experiences at SRU.
