Love of literature makes work more enjoyable for student at bookstore

Believe it or not, one of the best parts to my day is going to work.
After a long day of classes, it's nice to walk into a job I love.
I know how terrible it can be going to work when you hate your job and have already had enough for the day.
Of course, there are still days I'd rather go home, but my co-workers cheer me up by the end of the night.
I've come to find that no matter how hard your job is or isn't, and regardless of how much you get paid, if you don't enjoy yourself then you'll be miserable all around.
I've seen this in myself and others.
The best part of working for the bookstore is that I'm surrounded by books all day!
I love to read and get to spend my time exploring new releases and talking to customers.
I always share something useful with someone and am learning something new every day.
Believe it or not, there's always something exciting going on in the book world!
And of course, always another book I want to read.
My dad's favorite saying is that I "read my paychecks."
Although, after purchasing my textbooks, I have to say this is less of a joke and more of what I'm doing.
I'm also very busy by nature and at the bookstore, there's always something to do or someone to talk to.
The conversations with customers are limitless and unbound.
It's amazing how different people will rate a book and what they have to say can always be surprising.
I've found myself laughing hysterically, extremely annoyed, very surprised and highly offended, amongst other emotions.
The most fulfilling part of the day is finding a book for someone, and then they come back and tell me that they loved it.
This is in part because I loved the book, but I also note what other customers say and file it away to share with others.
My favorites are: "Sundays at Tiffany's" by James Patterson, the "Immortal Instruments" series by Cassandra Clare and "From the Corner of His Eye" by Dean Koontz.
I'm highly anticipating Mitch Albom's latest book, released this week, and also the three-book prequel to "Immortal Instruments" which will be released over the next year.
Although I only have time to read my textbooks right now, it hasn't stopped me from enlarging my collection of books.
Nearly every room of my house has a multitude of books in it, and I keep finding more to add.
It's like an addiction that I'd be dumb to quit.
But can you ever have too many books?
Walking into work is like the ultimate gift: all books all the time!
And then, on top of just getting to be there, I get to share it with everyone else!
